Chitrangada Singh poses for PETA

Bollywood actor and star of the film Joker, Chitrangda Singh appears in a striking new joint ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Joker.

The ad captures her "bleeding" after an alien uses a syringe-like mascara wand on her eye, and the caption reads, What If Aliens Tested on Humans? Ban Cosmetics Testing on Animals! The point is that testing cosmetics on animals is harmful and deadly to the animals themselves and also bad science - and the government should ban it.

The ad was shot by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar. Stylist Mehak Oberoi handled Ms Singh's hair and makeup, and the digital imaging was done by Prashish More.

This joint initiative between PETA and Joker also got a new name - PETAA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Aliens and Animals). "I think it's a good idea for the consumer to be aware because then you can decide to boycott or not, support or not, certain companies which are still testing on animals", says Singh.
The film features Akshay Kumar, a researcher probing the existence of aliens in the universe, who returns to his small native village. The out-of-luck Agastya takes it upon himself to put his crazy village on the global map and continues with his alien exploration from there. Although his plan draws attention to his village from around the world, it also comes with a great deal of risk.

Sunny Leone Is Shy

All that glitters is not gold and all porn stars are not bold, says the inimitable Mahesh Bhatt while revealing that Sunny Leone was shy and uncomfortable while filming the lovemaking scenes with Randeep Hooda in her Bollywood debut ‘Jism 2′. “I always knew that she is a very shy person. Just because she is a porn star doesn’t mean that she has lost her feminine quality of being shy.

During the lovemaking scene with Randeep she was finding it very difficult to do it comfortably,” Bhatt, who is producing the film, told IANS over phone from Sri Lanka, where ‘Jism 2′ is being shot. “Jo nazar aata hai wo hota nahin hai, All that glitters is not gold, all soldiers are not brave, all holy men are not holy and all porn stars are not bold. At times reality is different,” added the filmmaker.

The Indo-Canadian adult star of Punjabi origin was finalised for the role by Bhatt during her stint in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 5′. ‘Jism 2′ is a sequel to 2003 film ‘Jism’, in which Bipasha Basu’s steamy scenes became the talk of the town. Pooja Bhatt, who had produced the original, is directing part two. Sunny surprised the entire crew with her shy behavior. “Everyone was surprised with her shyness, but I understood that it will be difficult for her. It’s not easy to shoot a lovemaking scene; it is a very demanding thing. Those who believed that it would be a cakewalk for her will be shocked by this revelation,” said Bhatt, who has also written the script of the film. ‘Jism 2′ will see Sunny as seductress Izna. The love triangle also features Arunoday Singh. Randeep, who shot lovemaking scenes with Mahie Gill in ‘Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster’, was equally uncomfortable while shooting the scenes. “Even for Randeep it became very challenging although he has shot similar scenes before.
One has to understand that it’s not a fighting scene,” Bhatt said. Named by Maxim as one of the 12 top porn stars in 2010, Sunny, whose real name is Karen Malhotra, recently, celebrated her 31st birthday in Sri lanka.

Bhatt said Sunny wants to move on from being just a porn star and is looking forward to establishing herself as a part of tinsel town.

“Sunny is concerned how she will be perceived by the world as an actress because everybody knows her just as an adult star. She wants to be known for something more than that,” he added. Sunny’s career seems to have taken off here. Apart from ‘Jism 2′, she has also bagged a role in a sequel to Ragini MMS’. She has also endorsed a phone and a condom brand.

A source told a leading daily, “Parineeti had donned a rather taut coral dress which seemed to be too snug for her frame. But as soon as she realised (which was within 10 minutes of her dazzling entry), that her dress had developed a runaway tear near the zip, she did what any sensible girl would have done – run for cover before it got any worse.”

However, this is not the first time that the actress faced a wardrobe malfunction. Earlier too, she wore a see through dress exposing her inners.

Ranbir Kapoor fined for smoking in public

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been fined Rs 200 for smoking in public by the district court.
The 29-year-old actor was accused of violating the Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act after a local daily published images of Ranbir smoking on May 28, while shooting for 'Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani' with Deepika Padukone here.

Harish Vaishnav had lodged a complaint at a local court in Udaipur, following which Ranbir was summoned on June 26.

Since the summon could not be delivered to him by the date, the court fixed July 26 for his appearance, on which day his lawyer KK Purohit appeared and said that Ranbir did smoke in public but it was part of the film.

He also said that the act will not be repeated.
According to the Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act, a person found guilty of smoking in public can be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of six months or a fine of Rs 200. 

On Monday the court ordered Ranbir to pay the fine.

Purohit paid the fine amount in the absence of the actor.

‘Ek Tha Tiger’ crosses 100 crore mark in five days

Kabir Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ might not have received good reviews from critics but the audience placed the film at the top. The movie has broken the old records of Bollywood actor Salman Khan and set a new benchmark. Released on 15th August, 'Ek ha Tiger' made a grand total of 32.92 at the opening day. The first day collection of the film has broken the opening record of Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Agneepath’.

‘Ek Tha Tiger’ has also set a new history by crossing Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic market in the opening weekend. On Thursday, the film's collection suddenly dropped down more than 50% and it continued to show low result on Friday but on Saturday and Sunday, it bounce back to a big collection at the box-office.  Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted yesterday, "EkThaTiger

Saturday. Another BIG jump expected today."

In five days, it crossed 100 crore mark. The breakup is as such Rs 32.92 cr on Wed, Rs 14.5 cr on Thur, Rs 12.90 cr on Fri and Rs 16.75 cr on Sat and on Sunday the film collected Rs 23 crores net making it not only the biggest opener in the history of Indian cinema but also created a history of crossing Rs 100 crore mark in just five days.

Salman and Katrina starrer, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is a hard core action thriller with a love story of an ISI agent and RAW agent at the backdrop.

Ek Tha Tiger: A newcomer punched Salman Khan 25 times!

No one dare put a finger on Salman Khan without the actor’s permission, but a new actor from Punjab got to punch Salman, not once or twice, but 25 times. Who had that gall? 

A Bollywood newcomer rarely gets to do what Punjabi actor Gavie Chahal got to do for his first Hindi movie Ek Tha Tiger - punching Salman Khan over 25 times for a scene in the spy thriller. He is thankful to the star for helping him and being patient during the shoot. 

"There was a fight scene in the movie where I had to punch him (Salman) in the ribs. I was hesitating but he really encouraged me and made me practice. There were at least 25 punches before the take. He was very helpful. He guided me about my future as well. I am so happy to work with him," Chahal told IANS. 

He has earlier worked in Punjabi films and television serials, and feels "Ek Tha Tiger" is an ideal project to make an entry into Bollywood. 

"I think I am lucky. I couldn't have had a better debut. I am with the No.1 director (Kabir Khan) and the No.1 cast (Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif) of Bollywood. The combination is perfect for anyone," he added. 

Gavie Chahal, who acted in Hindi TV serials "Mohe Rang De" and "Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein", stressed the fact that he will be playing a "very important character" in the film. 

He says that he has acted "exactly as Kabir Khan told him to". 

"It was a great experience. Mr. Kabir never made me feel inferior to anyone on the set. I was also treated as a star. There was never a time when I was not treated well. He treated everyone as an actor," he added. 

A known face in Punjabi films and music, Chahal has acted in movies like "Yaaran Naal Baharan" and "Mehndi Wale Hath". 

But Bollywood is his preference. 

"It's obvious that I will give preference to Bollywood if I ever have an issue with dates. But I will never say no to Punjabi films or even television. First preference is Hindi cinema and then my television shows and Punjabi films," he said. 

A mechanical engineer by profession, Gavie Chahal never thought he would enter the world of acting. 

"My friends forced me to start modelling because of my height. Eventually, I did music videos and shifted to Mumbai when I started doing Hindi soaps," he said.

Jism 2 Review

Cast: Sunny Leone, Randeep Hooda, Arunoday Singh

Breathing is an operation of inhaling and exhaling. Sunny Leone makes this process a delight as her lovely lady lumps rise and descend like waves in a stormy sea. So the biggest selling point of Jism 2 is that Sunny breathes a lot and offers the same twin reasons to watch this film that she has in her entire filmography. Her indecent exposure has worried many but there are way bigger exposés in store here. For starters, how Arunoday Singh manages to unconvincingly pull off two satellites clipped on to his head as ears or how Randeep Hooda breaks into the hamming hall of fame without slipping in any ants in his pants. The film lives up to its title by allowing one to examine the human body in more ways than most doctors get to. Regrettably, it is your jism which is reduced to rubble in the process of watching this dribble.

The movie opens to a shiny and smooth canvas- a topless back of porn star Izna (Sunny Leone) who is purring her sob story perched on a rock by the sea as the waves wash her sexy every few seconds. Her crime: falling in love. Our crime: watching this movie. Punishment for both: death by exhaustingly theatrical overacting. This Masterclass on how an actor shouldn’t prepare is delivered by the two male leads: Ayaan (Arunoday Singh), the most unintelligent officer of the Indian Intelligence and terrorist mastermind Kabir (Randeep Hooda) who is as masterful with the violin as he isn’t with the monologues (where he breaks into an SRK from ‘Darr’ or a Naseeruddin Shah from ‘Sarfarosh’), only louder with more spitting and less speaking.

If you really want to know why Izna is troubled, skip this review to reach the trailer at the end of this page. Her misadventures begin when secret service agent Ayaan wakes up next to her and offers her a mission to extract some super-sensitive data from the clutches of a globally-wanted terrorist Kabir. While Kabir’s present location is established in Sri Lanka where he is disguised as a musician, they’re defenseless against his arsenal: his gun and violin, both of which cause equal amount of pain. Sunny is selected for this as she has a past with this deadly criminal and hence the only person who can get close to him without being shot down or have her ears bleeding, courtesy his violin.

After little opposition, Izna packs her baggage and boobage and jets off to Lanka. Her mission ends up in many emissions and takes us into an insufferable journey. This comprises loud acting where everyone screams, emphatically squats about the screen and no one listens to anyone, apart from Izna’s conjoined planets that float about like they’re nodding in approval of whatever was happening in that scene. If they happen to be your sole motivators to watch this film, just browse through this slideshow for a teaser: 

Why this film is more erratic than erotic is because it only borders on extremes. Neither of the actors can tread the line between screaming their heads off and being so subtle that they resemble the contents of a washing machine in action. Also, there seems to be some confusion about the role of a porn star as Izna admits to being one but functions as a prostitute. It’s like saying oranges and lemons are both citrus fruits, so oranges are lemons.

Randeep’s tongue runs deep into Sunny when he gropes her for a face rub. A scene later, he becomes a melancholic and weary poet, rambling, “Zindagi tujhe toh sirf khwaab mein dekha hai maine.” Basically, he wants to present his versatility as an actor. If that has to be done at the risk of appearing to have multiple-personality disorder, so be it. If Arunoday Singh’s ears had dialogues, they would surely bag a few supporting actor nominations. But since they didn’t, it’s best that he flaps them together to fly South where the film industry is a little more lenient. If you’ve seen the promos or visited her homepage, you don’t need to be told about how Sunny sparkles on the screen. But unfortunately for her, what you see is all you get. Pain and pleasure have the same expression and Sunny proves this by maintaining the same demeanour while sobbing over her lost love and when she’s aroused. Heavy breathing, Ooh-ing and Aah-ing on a loop fill up 90 per cent of the film. And if this wasn’t enough to cause diarrhea, there are dialogues like, “Usne mujhe chooa, toh aisa laga ki jannat ne choo liya. Aur phir woh chala gaya apni khusboo chodke, mere tan pe, mere kapdo pe.” Ever heard of a Laundromat?

The Bhatt camp is infamous for daring to cinematize topics that most would shudder to even consider. But their recent ventures, from Murder 2 to Jannat 2 to Blood Money have taken those topics and drawn a Dali moustache and floppy ears on them. And if they couldn’t have had a worse hand, their actors have brought the show down like pack of dominoes. Director Pooja Bhatt hasn’t faced the camera for 11 years and her last gig behind the camera was directing Himesh Reshammiya-starrer ‘Kajraare’. We rest our case.

While the entire premise of this film is baseless, Ayaan offers Izna a chance to escape her whoring hell to deceive a criminal (her ex who had inconsiderately dumped her without informing) by throwing herself at him. Why? Because it is for the country! For a country bar’s afternoon screening, may be.
